His babymomma contacted me

I've been seeing a guy who had a baby a few months ago. His baby mama lives a few 100 miles away from him, when I met him he made it very clear they weren't together.

When the baby was born he disappeared for a little bit. Which I understand why he did , he was a bit off with me. 3 weeks ago she sent me a message on Instagram, saying she had seen messages between us, I just told her it was nothing to worry about and we are just friends. I'm so mad that I'm even involved in this.

He had been going to visit the baby and stay at her house and I saw him message her to say she completely crossed a boundary and disrespected him. She was polite to me, but blew up at him. He's been all over me since but I can't help but think that something is going on with them. He was so angry at her I saw him blow up and call her all the names under the sun, so I know they're done now. Do you think I should message her to get clarity?
