Would it be strange?

My cousin and i had babies 6 days apart. I have chosen to breast feed and it’s going great. Baby is three weeks old and I already have Over 50 ounces of milk in the freezer. And when I pump after feeds I still get 8-10 ounces total. Which I love. I had always planned on donating milk to my local bank but my cousin who chose to formula feed from day one is having a horrible time finding a formula that baby does vomit and aspirate. They’ve had to call the squad twice because of this. That all being said would it be weird if I still breast fed my baby while pumping enough for her baby too?? I know my body has no issues producing and twin moms feed more then one baby all the time. I just don’t want to come off weird by offering to feed both babies. ￼￼

As someone who has over supply it isn’t fun to have . Granted I’ve donated thousands of ounces to babies in need and love it but the fact of over supply isn’t fun at all. 
It isn’t recommended to pump on top of nursing before 6wks because of risk of over supply. And mama you have over supply. Risk of clogged ducts, mastitis, over active let down and other issues not just with you but baby also are at a higher risk with over supply. 
(Only educating here no shaming at all) 
You can ask but don’t be offended if she says no. There’s a lot of people that won’t take other peoples breastmilk, especially if they are formula feeding.

I think that’s very sweet if you and a great idea! People donate milk all the time so I think the fact  that it’s from a close relative helps a lot, more peace of mind.

Not weird at all! I used my SIL milk for a few days before mine came in.  I've also donated about 300oz.

I gave breast milk to help out my sister in law. Our kids are 11 days apart. I think it’s a wonderful thing for a women to be able to produce enough to help another mother. But like people said before she may not be ok with it and that’s fine all you can do is offer.

I donated milk to my friend because she was struggling with a low supply after being really sick for a few days. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it. I’d approach it lightly and maybe offer it temporarily until she can find the right formula

I think it depends on how close you guys are I think it’s wonderful how you want to help her and her little one I wished someone would have done that for me just don’t be surprised if she feels weird about it but it wouldn’t hurt to suggest it also he baby may have acid reflux or a milk allergy something else to suggest to her if she doesn’t want to go the other route

If it’s taken as weird it’s due to the way that breastfeeding has been denormalized and even stigmatized in industrialized countries, so much so that mothers actually CHOOSE to formula feed 🤦🏾‍♀️. They actually choose it, as if they aren’t stunting their babies’ growth and development. And what’s more, so many aren’t even aware that that’s what they’re doing. We’re at an intellectual disadvantage as well a cultural one, in most industrialized nations when it comes to BF. But milk sharing is a time-honored tradition and I wouldn’t feel bad at all or worry about someone finding it weird, I’d still offer. It’s not their fault they aren’t used to it, or that it it’s been shamed and lobbied out of their culture to the point that they’d find it strange. 
Though whether it’s seen as strange or not, I doubt it would be the preference of every mother to go that route even if they need supplemental feedings; there could be a hundred other concerns or needs that come up surrounding milk sharing practices. 
Anyway, all this to say: I recommend broaching the subject, for sure, and not letting the stigma stop you.
