Evening primose ?

Anyone try evening primrose to help your cervix and to help induce labor did it work ?

I’m currently using it, ob said to start at 35 weeks, I take one orally in the morning and one vaginally before bed. It’s suppose to help strengthen the cervix for a shorter labor, my first labor was 2 days long so hoping this helps.

I took it for a week orally. And the night i vaginally inserted my first one 15 mins later my water broke. Worth a shot

I started taking orally at 38 weeks. When I'm 39 weeks ill add in a vaginal pill at bedtime. Idk if itll work but it is to help soften your cervix and so is eating dates and i have been eating 6 dates a day for months so I won't be able to tell which helps to soften my cervix more. It does no harm so why not? I did a lot of research and what I found is to take 1 pill 3x a day starting at 36 weeks and increase to 2 pills 3x a day at 38 weeks.

I didn’t use it to induce labor as from what I researched all it does is soften the cervix but I used it for 3 weeks when pregnant with my daughter so 37 weeks and I swear that’s why my labor went so easy and quick. 15 mins of active pushing labor and that consisted of 3 pushes and she was here. Just my experience
