Big baby?!

So I went in for my 33 week doctors appointment. They said he was measuring 35.6 weeks and was weighing 5.6 lbs... does that mean he is coming early? Or am I just gonna die when he comes out at 20lb baby 😂😂 I have a doctors appointment tomorrow I will be 34.6 weeks and I’m scared to see how big he is 😬😬😬

I was 30 weeks and my baby was weighing 4.5 lbs when he should have been around 3 lbs or so. My dr estimated I will have a 8.5-9 lbs little boy

It doesn’t mean he’s coming early! But my baby is also measuring large. Hesbeen in the 99th percentile since 19 weeks. Right now he’s 5 and a half pounds at 32 weeks. And they’re estimating him coming out at 9.5-10 pounds at 39 weeks. I’m being induced at 39.

My son measured in the 99th percentile at 20 weeks and then 84th at 30 weeks. A lot can change. Also, ultrasounds have a 20% margin of error, so some women get told they'll have a big baby, get induced and turn out to have a 6lb premie. Your body can handle a "big" baby anyway! Baby fat squishes!

Just had my doctors appointment, I’m at 34 weeks and 6 days baby girl is already measuring 6lbs and I forgot how many ounces they said but omg I feel like that’s huge ! My first daughter came out 7lbs 8ounces . Feel like this one is definitely going to be more !!! Now I have so much anxiety!!

Hahaha I have wondered the same about my big baby... measured 7lb 7 oz last week at 36&3. Really hoping he shows up soon! And doesn’t kill me bc he’s 20 lbs... 😂😂🤪🤪

My daughter was estimated at 5lbs 2oz at 32+6 during my last pregnancy and she came out weighing 8lbs 7oz when she was born at 40+6. It’s all an estimation so I wouldn’t worry too much. It could vary by 20%. They usually come out similar in size to your mom’s babies if you know how big you and your siblings were it should be close to what you should expect. If there is a big concern with size they might give you another ultrasound in a few weeks to see if you should get induced early. Best of luck, mama!
