My boyfriend and I have bad sex

My boyfriend and I have been dating 4 years. The first 2 years sex was unreal but after those 2 years it’s steadily gone downhill. I love him in every way and we live together far from my family off his paycheck because I am in grad school.

I feel like we aren’t sexually compatible because I am much kinkier and more adventurous than he is but at this point I don’t see breaking up as an option. Is that really my only choice?
