We stopped at 3 months because she could roll over pretty well at that point. I wished we could go back though. She slept so much better.

Thank you for your comments! Our daughter used to sleep 8-9 hrs straight and now wakes up like 15x - it's exhausting. Was wondering if the magic sleep suits are worth it, but you convinced me to give it a try. Had never heard about zippadeezip. Cool. Would try that, too. Anything really, by now. ;)

We just started putting her in a baby Merlin magic sleep suit- helps transition them from the swaddle. Working pretty well so far. When we could swaddle her, she slept 12 hours and only woke once. When we stopped, she was waking 4-5 times. Now either sleep suit it's down to two,sometimes one.

Swaddled my son until he was over 2. I wish I could still swaddle him now! He is a crazy ninja sleeper always thrashing around. Swaddling him kept him asleep thru out the night. Why not do what works best for you.

I still swaddle my 1 year old 😆 he loves feeling all warm and secure.

Swaddle as long as needed basically. We stopped swaddling a little early and we paid for it

I swaddled until 3 months. He wasn't startling as much and I actually found he slept a bit better with his arms out as he can now suck on his hands and soothe himself at night 😊

It has nothing to do with swaddling or not, all babies get startled- it's part of their developing nervous system

Both of my daughters were swaddled until about 4-5 months. They would startle themselves awake and from swaddling they slept throughout the night by 6-8 weeks old. Each baby is different, but I'll do it with this next baby due in may.

I have not swaddled my daughter since around 4 weeks. She's now 9 weeks. She hates being swaddled and will come out of it as soon as I wrap her.
