I have one week left until induction @ 37 weeks so ready for it to be over currently dealing with constipation 😩. I just wanna be normal again. I know i can’t be the only one

38+6 over here & playing the waiting game, I have a midwife appt scheduled for 5 days past due date for a membrane sweep if bub hasn’t made his arrival by then

I don’t know why you are being induced, but please read up on induction methods and the pros/cons. I was induced at 37 weeks and had a c-section 54 hours later. It was the most traumatic thing I’ve experienced (and I have evacuated from a war zone). Induction that early can mean that your body isn’t ready. The baby is probably still high, and pitocin can force him or her down in a bad position. If I were doing it again, I would 1. Ask what my Bishop’s score was and what that meant for my chances of a vaginal delivery, 2. Make it very clear that my goal was a vaginal delivery (that is not necessarily their goal, especially if your induction runs long and you are taking up a bed), 3. Ask questions at each step about what the risks and benefits to that step are, 4. Not let them put the pitocin up higher than a 6 or maybe a 9, no matter how long it took (higher than that can overwhelm your oxytocin receptors and increase your risk of too many too strong contractions as well as post partum hemorrhage). 5. Ask them frequently about the baby’s positioning and what could help optimize that, 6. Be constantly reading the spinning babies website for ideas on how to get the baby into position, and 7. Read up on gentle c-sections just in case
