My Mom and sister are throwing it and my MIL is definitely invited, but I'm worried she will get upset were not inviting any of her friends (we didn't for the bridal shower and she brought one anyway, she wasn't pleased with that decision - my rubric was to invite only people who meant something in my life). Does anyone have any advice? My family suggested she can host a separate shower for her side of the family (she would still be invited to the original one), but bringing that up to her would hurt her feelings as she is pretty traditional. I just don't want her to inflate the guest list with random people my mom and sister will have to accomodate.
