My sister in law is pregnant (5 weeks). It wasn’t intentional, she was told she couldn’t get pregnant due to the condition of her uterus. She has 6 fibroids, the largest clocking in at 22 cm (around? Not sure how she measured). She had an appointment in January 2021 to get them removed and she wanted to try for a baby then.

Two doctors she’s seen have told her there’s nothing they can do. One even said he’s never seen anything like her uterus. The fibroids are growing because of the increased estrogen, and shes convinced she’s going to miscarry. She also had bad nausea and migraines for a few days, and now she’s feeling fine, except for cramps.

She’s scheduled to see a high risk fertility doctor, but I’m not sure when. I’ve had two miscarriages already so she and her husband have been coming to me for advice and comfort.

Any success stories I can share with them? She’s also terrified because she’s been told if she miscarries, she’ll have to get a hysterectomy because the fibroids have grown too large.
