Flu Vaccine?

What are your feelings about it? Is it essential? I’m on the fence about it. She’ll be 10 months on Friday. I didn’t give this to my older kids when they were younger.

We will. I want to at least try to protect them against one of the viruses we will be facing this flu season.

I already got the first round for my daughter. I gave it to my son when he was a baby too. I just feel for us it’s the best decision. My kids are in daycare and I work at a hospital. If there is a vaccine out there to prevent an illness for my babies I will do it.

Personally no. I have never gotten the flu vaccine. And pretty much every person I know that’s close to me if they’ve gotten it they still end up getting the flu. 
Because the flu vaccine is just targeting one strand that they believe will be the most popular this year I don’t do the flu shot bc you can still get the flu. 
I also had an extreme allergic reaction to a vaccine as a child that honestly I’m super cautious about vaccines and I don’t really want to do them unless 100% necessary. (Currently my kids are fully caught up on vaccines. We just don’t do the flu shot and we specifically space out the vaccine I’m allergic to)

Yes. Just be warned they have to get two flu shots, 30 days apart, the first time they have it.

I think the flu will be particularly bad this year just because the majority of people have had minimal contact with others/most surfaces. Man, what a strange year. But anyway... I am of the mindset that if you can, you should. But I also believe that only you can decide what’s best for you and your family. :)

I used to not ever get it because I was young and stupid and "never got the flu," but I started getting them annually when I was pregnant with my first kid and we now get them every year. My baby got his first flu shot on the 14th and we need to go back mid-October for the second round. My husband, me, and my 3 year old are all done with our flu vaccines for this year too. 
It's important that anyone who can safely get the vaccine does, to protect vulnerable people who aren't able to get it (like our tiny babies last winter, people with allergies to its ingredients, etc).

I just did first dose for my baby at her 9 month check up. It was such a tough decision. I do all vaccines but with my eldest I waited until she started daycare. I decided to do it this time because of the crazy times we are living in and since I have a 4 year old that’s going to daycare I decided it was right thing. Not to say that I feel totally confident in my decision I hated that she cried so much on a check up that was not supposed to have shots and of course all the negative things you hear about vaccines, honestly this to me is the crappiest part of being a parent.

We got first round a couple weeks ago.  With her being in daycare and me working in healthcare have to do everything we can to prevent getting the flu if possible
