What does your baby wear to bed?

Question

We have a newborn and she seems to sleep best being swaddled. So usually we just have her in her diaper and swaddled. However she always unravels the swaddle! I try to get it right but I may just not be good at swaddling. Any tips?
Or what do you have your baby sleep in? Our house seems a bit too hot for a onesie right now  so I don’t know if I should do that

Get a halo swaddle. They aren’t able to break out of it and it can turn into a sleep sack when they start rolling.

Swaddles can be hard to transition out of. Our daughter would “Houdini” out of any swaddle regardless of how secure we made it. We ended up just putting footie PJ’s on her and have ever since. She’s done great.

‘Love to dream’ swaddles are great, my little one loves them and sleeps so well in hers. They have an arms up design, rather than arms across chest, so that they can comfort themselves by touching their faces, or in my little girls case trying to suck her thumb & fingers through it. They have a temperature guide on their website too which is really useful.

Halo swaddle. I couldn't swaddle with the cloths to save my life. As it has been on the warm side, just diaper in the Halo. As it is starting to get cooler, onesie in the Halo.

Our baby slept in a sleep n play suit, just the cotton kind and then we swaddled in an “ultimate swaddle” from amazon, it’s just a single piece of flannel. It was the only kind he couldn’t get undone or wiggle out of. He was a big baby though so the Velcro ones and whatnot were never quite right. Our house is cold though so I always worried and still do worry about him being chilly.

I saw this graphic..maybe it can be helpful for you? But it always seemed like a lot of clothes for 70*! For my guy we always did a halo sleep sack and a long sleeve shirt and a diaper. During the winter months we use a fleece sack and a cotton one during the summer.
