Irregular periods

While I have struggled with irregular periods, I’m very confused. I got off my BC in April/May of this year. My periods began very irregular again (10day periods). I had a period Aug. 28 - Sept. 6. Then again had a period Sept. 14-16. Anyone ever have this? Could it have been ovulation? (My app says I was ovulating then, but tests weren’t.) I’m very confused because I had had some pregnancy signs, but haven’t had another period or missed period since. Anyone have any advice?
