Is this normal for being 4weeks pregnant?

Hey babe! I’ve been having this kind of bleeding for 4 days now. The first day it happened, I went to the ED but I was sent home. 
The next day I went to a bigger hospital with more resources and had my blood taken and an ultrasound done. Bub was fine! Heart was beating away 🥰 
Turns out, some women just bleed during pregnancy, and sometimes the doctors never find out why but they go on to have normal pregnancies! 
I guess I’m one of those ladies 🤷🏻‍♀️ 
I’m hoping it’s the same for you and Bub is fine!! It’s soooo scary 😖 
If you’re not having any pain or tissue passing or big clots, everything might be fine! Xx

I went to the hospital I was there from 9pm-4am this morning. I had a miscarriage and I passed the baby when I was there. I had major cramps and heavy heavy bleeding. My stomach is so tender from cramps.

Bleeding isn’t normal, but it’s quite common. Usually it’s not good, but sometimes it’s nothing. Some women have breakthrough bleeding every 4 weeks (when you would normally have a period), and it’s harmless. It could also be a subchorionic hematoma, or it could be a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy. At 4 weeks the only thing you can do is get your blood drawn every 2-3 days to make sure it’s still doubling. I had heavy bleeding around 5 weeks with my first and we never figured out what it was from. My son is now a healthy 3yo so clearly it wasn’t a miscarriage.

I’m getting blood work done at 12pm to see if my hcg levels went up due to me being early. Should I want till tomorrow to tell my gyn or should I say something now?
