Sleeping on stomach

My 6 month old wants to always sleep on his stomach, I put him to bed on his back and he says turns to stomach or side, I read it's normal around now and that this age is fine bc they can go from front to back but I get nervous, is anyone experience this? I keep going in to turn him back but I would not be sleeping if I kept doing it
