How soon after implantation spotting would you test?

I had implantation spotting with my first and waited to test until the day my period was supposed to start. Now I’ve just had what I think to be the same spotting (CD21/22) and am wondering if anyone has had a positive test sooner than missed period?  When does everyone start testing?  Thanks!

I usually still wait for missed period since sometimes HCG starts pretty low and sometimes starts higher. The earliest after implantation is within a day. But it can still be as late as even 7 days after implantation to get enough HCG for a positive test.
