Any other second time mums disappointed at still being pregnant?

My first was born spontaneously and quickly at 39 weeks exactly, so I was so sure that this one would arrive early. But I'm 39 weeks tomorrow and there's zero sign of impending labour. No mucus plug loss, no strong braxton hicks, no lightening crotch, nada 😒 I know every pregnancy is different and that second pregnancies aren't always shorter but I fell into the trap of hoping. Anyone else?

I really thought my babygirl was going to come during this week (I was having contractions and cramps) but they just stopped😕 I have my csection scheduled for next Thursday, patiently waiting now💖

Same! This is my second baby, I’m already more dilated than I was with my first, I’ve had false labor already and I’m still waking up today 38&5 pregnant haha my baby has measured really big so I also thought that would make him come out early but nope!

Don't give up hope! My first my water broke at 38 & 3 and had him 38 & 4. I went to the doctor Monday at 38 &3 and was barely dilated to 1cm. My water still wound up breaking that night and had my second boy again at 38 & 4. He will be 3 days old today!

This has happened to me with every pregnancy so far. 
1st 35 weeks
2nd 36 weeks
3rd 38 weeks
4th 39 weeks
I fear I'm gonna have to wait till 40 weeks for this one 😩

Same. My water broke on it’s own with my daughter at 39w3d after no signs but I was barely a fingertip dilated and had to have Pitocin because I never contracted on my own. Never felt a natural contraction, and I still have yet to. I wouldn’t even be able to tell you if I have had Braxton Hicks because every time I think something, ANYTHING, may be happening- I poop lol. I’ll be 39 weeks in a couple days and I have absolutely NO signs of anything happening 😂

I’m also 39w tomorrow with my second. My daughter was 3 days late so I expected this time to be similar but I’m also sooo over being pregnant! I have lots of lightening crotch but that’s it so far other than all the pain!

First came at 37+0 after my water spontaneously broke the day before. Currently 37+4 and ok with this one staying in a bit longer as my mom doesn’t come into town until I’m 38+3 and then my midwife is out of town for 4 days following. We shall see!

Yep. I have had prodromal labor for a week now. Last night was awful. I was up until 5am with contractions that got to be every 3 minutes. Had bloody show, like a lottttt. So convinced it was actually it this time. But nope! Just miserable today on 2 hours sleep and had to call off work because I just can’t function on this level of exhaustion. I have no idea why this is happening, I never had prodromal labor with my first. I don’t know why my body keeps starting but not finishing the job 😩 I’m 38+6 today, had my first naturally at 39+1. I don’t even care if I go past that at this point, I just don’t want to deal with these freaking pointless contractions anymore. They must be doing something since I had bloody show, but not enough clearly 🙄 I was only 2.5cm at my 38 week appt. I’m getting my membranes stripped at my 39 week appointment next week. Anyway, yes, with how I’ve been feeling I DEFINITELY thought I would go a little early again. But now I just don’t trust my body and wonder if it will be able to get this baby out.
