Am I wrong?

Ladies my son is 10.. He's my biological and my husbands step son in which he's raised him since he's been 8 months old.. (No he doesnt see his real dad) long story short my husband is a complete jerk to him lately... I wanted to get my son because he's at his friends mind you he doesn't stay places and we told him if he got scared we were not going to pick him up... Well here it is 10 pm (mind you my husband works third shift so is use to driving in the night) I asked him to go get him and he flipped out on me saying NO IM NOT going to get him. We told him if he wasnt gonna stay not to go. Well I told him I'll go get him then because he's crying and uncomfortable where he's at. And all hell broke out threw his protein bar. Accross the room saying "I'm sock of it" mind you my son is a HANDFUL at times. He has odd and ADHD ... I guess what I'm asking is am I in the wrong for wanting to get my son even tho I told him I wouldn't?!

Has there been a habit of setting a rule for your son and then going back on it because he got upset/didn't want to follow it? I definitely think staying somewhere he doesn't want to is a different situation, but it's possible frustration was building if you're constantly giving in to things. Or maybe something from work? It sounds like you 2 need to talk about what's bothering him, after your son is home safe of course.

Ok, can I tell you what I think is going on?
I think him being a step or a bio dad doesn't have anything to do with it.
Mentioning that seems to only stir the women on this app crazy sometimes.
What I think is going on is that you make agreements with your son and you break them all the time.
I would not make an agreement about not getting him unless I really couldn't get him, I definitely would not make that agreement if it's the first time and he might be uncomfortable. But when you made that agreement your son still had a choice, do I go and stay or do I go another time when my parents can come for me? 
Kids need stability, no matter if they're neurotipical, asd, ass, add, odd, adhd,...
If you promise them you're going to do something fun with them you need to keep that promise, if you make an agreement with them about something less fun (like not getting him) you both need to stick to it.
Your son calling you to get him, to me, shows that you've let agreements slip more often and now it's put a strain ln your relationship because it bothers your husband and possibly has been eating your private time together away.
Above that if he says something i feel like - and I hope I'm wrong here - you might be shutting him down by saying he's your son and giving your husband the feeling of "you're not his real dad" which is inevitable to make him feel horrible. Because he's been his dad since he was a baby.
I am sorry if I'm wrong, but if I'm right, a bunch of women on this app chouting you're right isn't going to help anything, it might ruin your relationship even more.

No. You’re child is important and his feelings are important. He shouldn’t be forced to stay somewhere because you’re husband is an asshat.

I think he's coming from a place of why set rules if they aren't through on. Which I totally get. HOWEVER, in this instance, if my child is uncomfortable somewhere, 10pm or 2am, I don't care, I'm going to get my baby.

Your child needs to know you will always come get him if he is truly uncomfortable somewhere. If you two agreed that he can’t go unless he stays the night, that’s a weird agreement in my opinion. However, with other things, I completely agree with previous posters that if you set a boundary you MUST follow through. I could be wrong but it does sound like this sort of thing happens a lot, that you and husband will set a rule or boundary with your son and your son gets upset and you allow him to break the rule/boundary. That is likely a source for your husbands anger.

What the hell if my daughter was like this and called me crying because she’s uncomfortable I’d be there to pick her up in a heartbeat. I don’t give a dam if they wanted to go over and now they don’t wanna stay like stuff happens and kids miss their parents. That’s what you expect from kids. Some can’t spend the night at others homes without you there.

My son is 12, and I’d be called me wanting to come home, I’d go too lol you never know these days what goes on at peoples homes and if the kid is uncomfortable like that, it’s time to go home.
