Should participants in vaccine trials be financially rewarded?

Not just vaccine trials but any type of medical experiment?
Vaccine trials are being started in my country and from my knowledge it’s on a voluntary basis with no payment involved.  Other medical experiments only cover expenses.

I would say some sort of monetary “reward” or payment should definitely be given. If someone is risking their physical well being and being experimented on, essentially, I’d hope they would be compensated to some extent.

It's completely fine to recruit on a voluntary basis so long as there is thorough informed consent. You can actually skew results by offering financial reward depending on what you are studying. Without knowing it your sample size is not random. You are collecting participants based on who wants money, who may be in poverty, etc.
