Trying since January 2019 and finally getting to breathe!
Here we are, 18 months, one CP, and 8 months in a fertility program and it finally worked! We are 7 weeks pregnant with our little bebe. I couldn't be happier.
I was like a lot of people. I hate PCOS. I hated how I felt like a failure. How I was less of a wife/woman/mother because of my fertility issues.
I'm not religious (no judgement if you are) and so we decided to trust in science. I was tired of everyone telling me to relax, don't stress, etc etc. None of that helps and it certainly doesn't make my body ovulate reliably.
So I got diagnosed in July of 2019, got my referral to the RE in January 2020 and had a bit of delay because of COVID. In March, we had a chemical pregnancy, it was reassurance that I could do this, my body could make a baby. And it pushed me to be better for myself and the future baby.
But I lost 22lbs and took my metformin (2000mg daily). I ate healthier and got my body moving. We did two rounds of IUI, everything worked well but a pregnancy didn't stick. Frustrating. The letrozole. The pregnyl. The progesterone suppositories. All felt like a waste.
Until my birthday, September 8th. My beta was 132. My stick was positive and here we are three weeks later. A baby measuring 7w and a heartbeat of 130bpm this morning.
So trust in science, PCOS sucks but it can happen. And I'm so excited.
