What age can baby use a silicone feeder?

I have a 3 month old baby. I bought a silicone feeder that says it can be used from 3 months up. I know nutritionally they don’t need anything but milk until 4-6 months. My baby is showing interest in food though so can I put small pieces of fruit in the feeder for taste? I can’t imagine he would swallow enough to take away from the amount of milk he drinks. Would it be okay?

Just put some frozen breast milk cubes in it if you really want to start the feeders. But highly recommend not starting fruits as first food. They are sweet which will make introducing veg alot harder because it's not sweet. But usually between 4-6 months I would just give a taste of what we were having for dinner not a whole lot just a nibble. After 6 months I was giving foods as fun food. But never really in a feeder unless it was a choking hazard like broccoli bits.

He will still get juice from it and it’s more about digesting properly than it taking away from the milk. His little tummy hasn’t developed to be able to process juice or solids yet. Wait until you get the OK from your pediatrician.

6 months.  They don’t have the proper digestive enzymes for food before that and they get a lot more out of those than you’d think

Everyone on this app is going to tell you 6 months. But you have to do what’s right for your family. I will say 3 months is too young. We started trying out solids via purées and in mesh or silicone feeders at 5 months. She was showing all signs of readiness and literally screaming trying to get food from our plates.
