Weekdays vs weekends

There has been some debate around what is a good balance between week days and weekends

Some studies have found having even a four day work week increased productivity and genuine desire to continue coming into work.

What do you think is the most effective weekdays vs weekends pairing?

Personally I think a 4 to 3 is so much more effective. One day for play, one day for errands and one day for rest. I think it would really positively impact the way people work. I also think businesses should have these days staggered tbh. I think having Monday through Friday be the only days some businesses are open is incredibly unaffective because it pushes everyone to aggregate on two days of the week in certain establishments on the weekend and especially with Covid, to limit our contact with others this would be so so so helpful.
