When’s the best time to tell people?

Hello,
I’ve just done my 5th test now and all says pregnant. I know I’m crazy doing so many tests but I’m just a worrier and I like to keep testing for me to believe it 😂🙈 just wondering what’s the best time to tell people you’re pregnant I know most say wait until the first scan ?  it’s so hard to not tell friends and family!

Honestly, I’m a firm believer that the “wait for 12 weeks” thing is bologna. I had two miscarriages this year and I was so thankful each time that I had chosen to tell close friends/family. Their support was so important in my healing process. I told my mom, dad, sister, brother and a couple of my close friends right away. You could just say “hey, I just wanted you to know that I got 5 positive pregnancy tests....I’m really excited!” Do yourself the favor of having people on your corner heaven forbid something goes wrong. Congratulations!!

It all comes down to what you and your partner want to do. Personally, we told both sets of parents and my sisters the same day we had a positive digital. We also told our close friends within a few days, and my boss knew within the next few weeks. But we didn’t make a public announcement until about 15 weeks. 
The whole concept behind waiting until 13 weeks is the fact that the chances of miscarriage drop significantly after the first trimester. But I knew if I did miscarry, I’d need the support of my family and close friends, so we told them right away.

A lot of people wait until the end of the first trimester when the chances for miscarriage go down but it’s totally up to you. Both times I waited until I physically couldn’t hide it anymore

I would say wait until the 12 week mark. You could just tell your close family or close friends until then. I’m pregnant right now and I’m trying to hold out until atleast 12 weeks even though we already got a scan and seen a heartbeat. My last pregnancy (what would have been my 5th baby) I announced the pregnancy and ended up having a miscarriage. I hated having to announce that I lost my baby. I never thought it would happen to me because I’ve carried 4 healthy babies and I had never went through a loss. There’s no rules to announcing, but it just sucks if something does happen. But don’t be afraid to be excited!!! Congrats mama❤️

Whenever you feel comfortable!
I told different people at different times!
My mom and sister I told the day I found out.
My other sister I told the next time I saw her (so a few days after finding out)
My grandma I told after my first ultrasound (5weeks)
My work I told pretty immediately because accommodations had to be made
Everyone else I told at 14 weeks.

I told close friends and family as soon as I got the positive but waited until my first scan to announce on social media.

I told my mother the next day i found out and then i told my sister in law like 3-4 days after i found out, and then my mother in law and so on😂. I just felt it was important for me to let my close family members know, since that time it was also the beggining of the pandemics so I wanted them to be aware for everything that could happen with me. 
And then I told some of my close friends 1 week later or so. 
But I don't like this idea of hiding your pregnancy until 12 weeks. Who can guarantee you that you won't loose the baby when you're 13 weeks or 30 weeks?? Miscarriages happen, they shouldn't be hidden. From day one of pregnancy we have a little baby inside of us, which is OUR BABY and we can't deny it even if we miscarry early. 
I'm a really private person, I'm 33 weeks pregnant now and yet only my family members and close friends know that I'm expecting a baby. I didn't like announcing my pregnancy on social media since I've many colleagues, family members etc who might be struggling with infertility, so I don't want me to be the reason of their sadness and fake a "congratulations" coment to me. 
So do what you feel doing, if you want to tell your close family members and friends, you can just do that by saying "i guess i'm going to be a mother soon"... "my period was late this month so the tests showed positive"... etc..

I waited for a public announcement until after 1st trimester because I didn't want to have to tell everyone if something bad happened (wound up having to spread bad news anyway for my 2nd when it was a loss at 26 weeks) but I definitely told my parents and sister, and my husband told his. Plus I told my leadership team at work right away.
But I guess that's the thing about my later term loss is that a loss can happen at any time, it's just more likely during those first 12 weeks. At the very least it's good to tell a few close people so you have those people to talk to about the pregnancy no matter what happens during it.

Whenever you want as long as you are prepared to tell them bad news if something goes wrong. It's a really difficult thing to do, so most people keep it quiet for quite awhile. Also, if it will affect your job you may not want to tell the world. My next I won't tell anyone until baby is born, lol.
