GD - insulin dependent - induction

I was diagnosed at 12 weeks - placed on meds. They didn't work, so now I've been placed on insulin. This is my third pregnancy and the first time I've had GD. I will be scheduling a C-section, just bc it's easier for us. So he will be here at least a week before my actual due date. But I seen some stories about babies being taken earlier if moms are on insulin.. Just wondering if anyone has similar problems and made it full term or if your baby had to be taken early what was the reason?
