should I bring up being his girlfriend

I like this guy so much. I damn near love him. We’ve been dating for 3 months. He’s started talking to his mom about me, and I’ve told my family about him. Our relationship has been progressing. One night, something was bothering me and we talked about our relationship—maybe 2 weeks ago. I said something to him about if he wanted something long term and he said he wasn’t ready to commit at the moment. But he said he was going to ask me to be his girlfriend.. and he was just waiting for the right time and conversation. I’ve had my time wasted before. Yes, he’s a LOT different than those other guys, but he’s yet to ask me and I think we’re at a point in our relationship where it’s appropriate.

He said he knew that it’d been on my mind.. but he still hasn’t asked. I have a date planned for us where I bought tickets to an event that is catered toward his interests and I’m just wondering if I’m doing too much for someone who’s not a girlfriend. Idk what to do
