For anyone interested I just contacted fisherbrand who supplies a number of diagnostic centers with the glucola for the glucose tolerance test. I am a vegan and wanted to make sure there were no animal products used in the making of any part of the product. I was assured by the manufacturer that it is completely vegan. What a relief since my midwife is requiring it and my diagnostic center doesn't allow any substitutions.
