Random question

I don’t know where to post this or if anyone can help.

So I’m 36 weeks pregnant and tomorrow I go in and will talk to my doctor about it. I plan on getting my tubes tied because this will be my 4th baby (2 living, 1 stepson). However, I have horrible periods and want to go back on the IUD because my cramps and bleeding get progressively worse after each pregnancy (this is number 5, 1 missed miscarriage at 10 weeks and 1 stillborn due to anencephaly at 35 weeks)

My question is can I have both? A tubal ligation for sterilization and an IUD for my periods.
