Chemical?

How does one know they had a chemical pregnancy? 
My experience: on ovulation induction (metformin/Letrozole) for 6 months, with cycle regulated like clockwork. On round 5, I got a decent positive on 12DPO, but 13-14DPO just had vvvfl. Period came the next day, but was oddly light. The next month I was 2 weeks late, but no BFP. 
Doctors kind of shrugged it off, and didn’t do follow up tests, but this feels significant to me. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Several positive tests including digital, followed by a normal period, followed by several negative tests.

I just had a chemical in august. I got a super faint line and my period was five days late. I didnt get a positive until I was around 3 or 4 days late and it was super positive. Never got darker and faded to negative and I bled immediately following a negative test. I had super clotty/fleshy bleeding for about 6 days. Very heavy and painful.

Chemicals are usually due to chromosomal abnormalities. So their is nothing a doc could test. Unless you make it past 8 or 9 weeks you could have the fetus tested. I myself have had 3 Chemical pregnancies. ￼

I got a faint positive at 15/16dpo, and then 17dpo I got a negative and my "period" started... This is what I believe is a chemical 😕
