Is it normal for breastfed baby to have mucous in poop?

Has anyone else noticed mucous in breastfed baby poop and is it normal?

When breastfed babies have greenish/mucousy poop, it's typically one of two things, first and foremost and foremilk/hind milk issue. If baby is not staying on the breast long enough he or she may only be getting the foremilk which is the more watery, less fattening milk, the hind milk, which is full of fat comes at the end, so nursing completely on one breast to see if there are changes would be good. Secondly it could be an allergy to dairy proteins in your milk, if doing the first does not change it, try eliminating dairy from your diet. Good luck!
