Baby not crawling?

Question

My baby will be 8 months on the 20th, we do plenty of tummy time. He moves in circles when in tummy time. I do exercises to encourage him to crawl but he doesn't like them. Any advice? Are your little ones crawling yet?

Mine is 8 months tomorrow and is not crawling or pulling himself to stand, or is able to sit by himself for too long. Every baby is different, and some even skip crawling altogether.

My daughter didn’t crawl until she was almost 11 months old she’s just now starting to walk at 16 months old. Every baby is different some don’t even crawl.

My little guy isn't crawling yet either and I've been wondering the same thing! He loves tummy time but just rolls everywhere he needs to go! He rocks on hands and knees for a little bit sometimes but falls when he goes to move forward 😬

Consider yourself lucky. Both my babies crawled early, my first at 5 1/2 months and this one right at 6. Once they’re mobile it’s a whole new ball game. Don’t fret over it, babies all do things at different times and unless your pediatrician has cause for concern then it’s fine.

My little one is 9 months old and literally just crawled for the first time yesterday!! I didn’t think he would crawl at all. He is walking around while holding our hand too but crawling has been a no go. Your little one will crawl in their own time or miss it completely and just start walking! What ever you do don’t compare your baby to anyone else’s. Every baby develops and does things at different ages and rates.

Like others said use a toy or something they like to entice baby to move to get it. Also I read that encouraging them to be able to sit unassisted strengthens the muscles used for them to crawl. I personally tried that and once he mastered that I would put him down on his hands and knees with a toy in front that whenever he reached for it (it’s on wheels) it moved further away so he continued to chase it so to speak and after a few days he was crawling. Maybe that could help.

Mine is the same age and also doesn’t crawl. He hates tummy time too🙄 but he loves to stand if I put him against something.

My daughter is 8 months on the 22nd and isn’t crawling yet either. She’s JUST starting to sort of get on her hands and knees and rock but it doesn’t last long. I try not to worry too much. Babies go at their own pace I guess lol
