I saw my big baby breathing in utero! :) FTM

As a FTM, I really am fascinated with all the small experiences I've had with my son. From seeing no heart one week, to a little flutter the next. Then seeing little nubs and finally fingers. His long limbs and then just seeing and feeling him grow and move. I truly have been blessed with a healthy pregnancy and with the luck of being able to fully witness my son's consistent growth all because he is a big baby like his daddy was.

So today I had a final growth scan at 36+4 for my healthy big baby to see if he was still measuring 2 weeks ahead and determine final weight and what not to see if he can be born normal or via c section- He is measuring 38+2 and 8.5 pounds btw.

Well the thing that surprised me was something I had been feeling for a bit but quite not understood- I saw him breathing!

His little chest was going slightly up and down!! The tech explained to me that the baby was practicing his breathing for when he is born!! I mean, I read everything about hiccups and have felt them too. But this was actually small little consistent breaths he was taking.

It was the most magical, beautiful thing I have EVER seen in my life!! I just wanted to share this moment because no one ever told me about this and I think it's cool to know!! ☺😍💙
