Reaching above your head?

BabyBlu🐼 • Mom of Irish twins
I've heard and read that pregnant women shouldn't reach too high but why is that? Is pulling a muscle and or ligament the worst that could happen and is it really that bad? Sorry FTM here 😅

My doctor said not to worry- that it's an old wives tale... My mom keeps telling me not to reach for stuff all the time and I had to tell her my doc said its okay!

The cord thing I've read and my doc said was a myth. Who knows it funny how many myths and sayings there are :-). I could fr sure see getting a Charlie horse of possibly pulling a muscle :-)

Also it could wrap the cord around the baby's neck. My mom was moving when pregnant with my brother and she was like 8 months pregnant and she was lifting and getting things that were below her wast and above her head and he came out with the cord around his neck twice

The theory is it will cause the cord to wrap around baby's neck.

A lady at work told me the same thing. According to her it wraps the cord around their neck. Not sure how true it is.
