When can you start clipping babies nails?

I tried clipping my daughters right away, and I felt instantly awful. They were still like fused to her skin but long too so it was very strange, I tried cutting them and it caused ingrown nails and her skin would get clipped. I would just wait a little bit. I felt so awful. One of them got slightly infected too even with cleaning it everyday

I clipped my daughter’s almost immediately. Now that I’m a STM, it’s not as terrifying. Now it’s more difficult to clip my toddler’s. 😩

I just put on mits on my babies until their nails are less soft so it's easier to clip
