Can high intensive workouts prevent u getting pregnant?

I have starting exercising again about 2-3 months ago one of which is body combat. We have been trying to get pregnant since June, and it didn't take this long to get pregnant last time. I'm following this app and just get disappointed when my period arrives. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated!

My bjj instructor's wife had three kids while practising that and other martial arts. Not to mention all the other ladies in the school who had babies! I think you'll be ok, but you might not want to do full contact practises once you actually get pregnant.

I think it depends on how it affects your body. My dr mentioned extensive athletes/those hardcore marathon trainers and the like can lose periods from so much exercise. I was running/cycling/walking and doing yoga for several hours a day and my bmi was 16%. On top of just coming off of bc after three years, it really messed with my cycles. I stopped bc mid July after a period, and have only had two cycles since- 38 days and 47 days, and am on day 47 yet again because I am not ovulating. Finally trying a pill to help me do that once this period shows. Couldn't hurt to consult your doctor because he knows you better :) Hope that helps!

If the exercise hasn't affected your period I would say no. If you are exercising so much you lose your period then yes, it will affect you getting pregnant.

A friend of mine used to run marathons.

She would diet and train intensely for months leading up to each one. As a result of the diet and exercise she wouldn't get a period. It was normal for her. And she would check up with her doctor fairly regulary. At one of those appoimts, he informed her she was 7 months pregnant.  
 
So no, extreme exercise is not a fool proof method of birth control.

My cousins were high school record breaking runners. They had no periods or boobs or hips till they left highschool and slowed down with excersising a bit. They had some pretty bad female problems for a while because of it. Ones married now so we shall see if she ever gets pregnant now. Not saying this is your case sounds like you have periods and everything. It just takes a while sometimes. Took me 9 months without tracking with my first and then 3 months with tracking for my current 29 w 6 days :-) good luck!

My body combat instructor still taught class while she was pregnant. But everyone is different.

I don't know what body combat is, but yes I can imagine some types of workout preventing you from getting pregnant. Sudden shocks could prevent your fertilized egg from nesting. So I would try to find a different type of workout you enjoy.
