Is it okay to take a bath?

I'm 1 week postpartum and my back and hips are killing me. Is it okay to take a bath? I'd call my doctor but it's Saturday and they're obviously not in

My midwife told me herbal bath (she gave me the herbs) in a clean tub.. I did it a couple of times but I'm a shower person so when I got tired, I sat down for a minute. Or finished showering sitting down. Lol.

Absolutely not, your cervix is still open and you do not want dirty water in your uterus, it can cause infection. Try using a heating pad.

I was told no baths until I was completely healed because it could cause infection. Take pain meds unless you're breastfeeding, then do a heating pad.

I wouldn't if you're still bleeding there's a chance to get an infection better wait a bit longer and try some kind of cream for sore muscles or warming on your back.A chance for infection doesn't mean you will get one obviously but why risk it...
