Hot tub while pregnant?

So at my first OB appointment the doctor told me I could take as hot of showers as I wanted, I could even get in the hot tub. But he said to stay out of the sauna cause you can cook yourself a lot faster in a sauna. Has anyone used a hot tub while pregnant? It's just so weird to me since I've always heard you can't. Advice is appreciated. Thanks ladies!
