I’m a sahm but I’d do what I had to and step up. I’ve told my husband that I WANT to be with him I don’t NEED to be with him, being with him is a choice because I love him. I could do it on my own. Also, my mom would move in until I did get on my feet.

I would definitely struggle. I'm a sahm in a province that's at least a 2-3 full days drive from family. I haven't had a job in almost 3 years since my daughter and even before then it was always part time type jobs. Our finances are merged. If I had to my parents or other family members would pay to have me and my kids flown back home and have my important personal things delivered until I could survive on my own, but I'd be mostly screwed. If, god forbid, he died, I'd at least get a life insurance payout so I could sell the house and be covered getting back home to my family and get myself settled there.

I'm not currently working and am 39 weeks pregnant so I would struggle, no doubt my mom would let me move in with her and do everything she could to help me but it would definitely be a while before I was able to move out on my own with my little girl. Honestly though if my fiance up and decided to leave me he wouldn't kick me out of our house, I take care of the house and our dog and for now the plan was for me to be a stay at home mom because neither of us want babysitters for our baby so young .
