NIPT...waiting on results

I am waiting on my NIPT results (done through Invitae) and I am trying not to freak out. It’s not really working, though. They said I would have the results between yesterday and tomorrow. And the more time passes, the more I’m convinced it’s going to be bad news and that’s why it’s taking so long. I realize that’s an irrational thought, but I can’t make myself stop. 😩

I know my doc is going to call, but I’m also set up on Invitae’s site, so I can see that it’s still in process. I’m wondering if anyone knows if my doctor will get the results before they’re posted online? And do you think they’re more likely to contact the doc first if something is wrong?

After difficulties getting pregnant and some losses, I haven’t been able to let myself relax and enjoy the pregnancy. I have a 14 year old daughter and she’s been staying with her dad due to COVID (my husband is a truck driver, so more exposure...). She is coming tomorrow (we have been quarantining), so I was hoping to have my test results back so that I can feel comfortable with telling her the news about the pregnancy. I’m just a tiny bit anxious. 🤣😂
