As I'm blending up pre-prepared smoothies for the third and postpartum time period, I just wanted to give you ladies a PSA.

Dates (majool) will be your absolute best friend. Studies have shown eating at least 6 a day after 36weeks (totally safe and recommended earlier though) helps spontaneous labor, cervix ripening, less chance of medical intervention, and helps postpartum bleeding/hemorrhaging (more effective then oxytocin 😳). You can look up more benefits. Definitely talk to your Dr or nutritionist if your higher risk.

Red raspberry leaf tea (must be leaf, not just flavored) helps tone and strengthen your uterus helping contractions be more efficient. It also helps postpartum bleeding and milk production.

Neither of these things will put you into labor. It'll only help when you are.
