Brazilian Wax ? 🤔

There was a post recently about shaving down there earlier and I wanted your input on something. I can’t really see past my stomach to shave 😭 and because I wear glasses and can barely see myself, I don’t trust myself to blindly shave. Nor do I trust my husband to shave for me 😣, he tried twice and both times he immediately started shaving horribly. So I was thinking of getting a Brazilian wax, but I’m not sure how harmful it is or if we could do it while pregnant. I’ve never had one and although I know it’s painful, I feel like it’s an easier option. I’m a FTM, so I really don’t know. What are your thoughts on this ladies? 🤔

I've heard they're especially painful during pregnancy because you have so much more blood flow to the genital area - its a lot more sensitive. I've never heard of it being unsafe though!

I had a Brazilian my last pregnancy right before delivery. It was fine. Due to covid, life has been shut down by me🤪and although the salons are open, I’d rather not get half naked for a wax because my anxiety is very high about catching anything. It is not pleasant but it isn’t the worst either.

I think it’s definitely easier, but it is much more painful when your pregnant. And when I say much more painful I mean like it hurt for 3 days after the wax . When I got one before it didn’t hurt that bad. But Go for it ☺️

I still get them and I am 30 weeks pregnant. First I was scared because I had heard that it would hurt more due to me being pregnant, but it didn’t. It felt the same. They are also really fast, only takes about 7-10 minutes and lasts a good amount of time.

I’m 30 weeks and still get waxed :) I don’t find it more painful in fact it’s less painful but I’ve also been getting them for awhile so that could be why they don’t hurt anymore 🤷🏻‍♀️ but no doesn’t hurt baby at all or effect pregnancy :)

I’m an esthetician, I’ve waxed pregnant ladies before and from their experience and my own through this pregnancy - is that it’s going to hurt about the same amount as it did before. The skin is actually more taught during pregnancy which actually makes waxing easier! You could always try sugaring too, some people find it to be more gentle

I usually wax my self , but of course not able to see down there lol So I get it done ✔️. It’s absolutely safe . It’s honestly just depends on your pain tolerance , and the amount of hair you have and who’s waxing you . Look around and read reviews. good luck ❤️

I got a wax before having my first and that’s usually what I do to upkeep down there. However waxing during pregnancy does hurt more than usual! So just remember if you do it for the first time during pregnancy don’t expect them to always be that painful lol

I got waxed through my first pregnancy. LOVED IT! Yes it hurts but after a few times it was nothing. The gal I had would chat through it to distract me and I would only go about every 4 weeks. It was perfect! I’m getting to that point where I can’t blindly shave either and am considering going back to waxing until baby gets here. There wasn’t any concern for me as I went to a higher end spa/salon to get it done. I wouldn’t Groupon it by any means. Do the research and find a clean salon, always feel free to ask questions.

I’ve also thought about getting a wax done but after being told by my doctor that it’s more painful during pregnancy I just blindly shave and then have my boyfriend come check to see if I missed anything and then just let him shave whatever little hairs I missed however it’s getting harder because my bump is starting to really get in the way
