Did you do genetic testing at 10 weeks?

Did you do genetic testing at 10 weeks pregnant? What helped you decide? And does the testing tell you the sex of your baby?

I only got it bc insurance paid for mine.  You can get the gender with it you just have to make sure you request it.  If I was paying OOP I wouldn’t have done it.

I’m getting my genetic testing done because idk my biological family & what sicknesses and things they had & im doing the gender test too later this month because I really wanna know the sex of my little baby!

I did it for multiple reasons.  1- I’m over 35 so it’s more highly recommended, 2- we conceived thru IVF but didn’t test the embryos and 3- our son has a heart defect so we wanted to rule out any additional possibilities that we could.  It also helped insurance covered it.  And yes it told us the gender.

I had it done around then, and yes, it can tell gender, but you have to request that part

I got it done at 11, which I paid for myself 
I got it as I wanted to know if my baby had any chromosome issues. 
I will get it for my future babies also 🙂
And yes it can tell you sex of baby.

I got mine I believe at 8 weeks, but insurance paid due to my age which was 38.

I did because I knew what I was going to do if it came back with something that we didn't want.
Fortunately all good over here and I have a beautiful healthy baby.

Never did the testing bc I don’t care if my kids had or would have anything I will love them all the same

I never did it cause it wasn’t really necessary to us. Plus I have patience to wait til 20 weeks to know gender... Plus, the test didn’t include gender for me anyways.
