Tryna have this baby soon

Soo ladies . I’m 34 weeks I have a doctor appointment on Monday the 9th . I was told after that appointment I’ll start going to the doctors office every week. What exactly do they do every week ? I’m due on the 15th of December and I’m a first time mom. So I know it’s possible my baby could come late but I really want her out the beginning of December. (Of course I want her healthy first) but I’ve been relatively fine this entire pregnancy and so has the baby . I’m just curious to know every week what’s the point of going to the doctor office and what can help my baby come a little earlier
