Do you take your newborn out during chilly windy weather for walks or etc?

My mom mentions it’s better to stay home so baby won’t get sick. She says when it’s windy it’s not good she even said this when it was windy and warmer weather. I of course scared stayed home and my husband said two of his brother in law said I need to go on walks because baby needs sunshine. Anyways I’m pissed. I stay home and am extra careful and my baby has a stuffy nose. One girl I know goes out all the time her baby is like my babies age almost 4 months. She’s been to the beach (baby was 1 month), goes out to eat, goes outside in chilly weather, and today I saw on Instagram she went hiking with her husband and baby. It’s chilly and windy. Her baby doesn’t have a cold he looks healthy as can be! I’m super confused is this just a coincidence? I’m about to start going on daily walks this is stressing me out. Literally she’s always out and her baby is thriving. My baby looks pale and I’ve heard comments on it. Also stuffy nose for like 3 weeks. ALL I DO IS STAY HOME BECAUSE IM EXTRA CAREFUL BUT SOMETHING DONT ADD UP. Anyways weather chilly now and I’m wondering if you guys take your baby out daily (of course dressed warm enough)

Yep we go on a walk every day! Just bundle up with blankets and I use one of those car seat warmer thingies for her stroller. We make it fast but my dad likes to say no bad weather just bad gear!!

And meanwhile in Scandinavia babies/ toddlers sleep/nap outdoors till it's -10c/14f. 
Dress baby accordingly to the weather, use a sleeping bag in the stroller and enjoy the fresh air.

I had my son at the end of December in 2018 and I was taking him out in the snow when he was a week old. As long as your baby is properly covered, it should be fine.

Wind/weather does not cause colds - viruses cause colds.  Go for those walks!

Your baby just needs to be appropriately dressed. Being cooped up inside isn’t good for anyone.

I go for a walk every day. I don't mind wind, but I skip it, when it erains too much. I have a stroller with a cot, so baby sleeps in it, and is protected frm the wind. He sleeps much better later in the day if he has been in fresh air.
I walk with him around parks and walk ways we have, I don't think I am care less in corona times, because I don't go to stores or other crowded places. If I see a crowd I just go around.

You and the baby just need to be appropriately dressed. Blankets in the stroller are okay too. You also will need to watch the length of time you are out depending on how cold it is (look at the wind chill not the actually temperature). 
Walking and getting out when it’s cold is good for both of you.

I live in the northeast and had an October baby . I stopped doing outdoor walks with her probably in eagerly December because it was too cold for both of us . I bought a treadmill and would run during her naps lol

It’s the last thing the doctor told me before we were discharged from the hospital.  Take baby outside at least once everyday.  They need the fresh air and yes also sunshine.  My son is 2 now but he was out almost everyday since he was born.  In cold, in snow, rain, super hot, on the beach, in the city.  We have used his strollers a lot, we also loved our Ergobaby carrier and used it a lot until he was about a year old.  Get out and let your baby get some fresh air.
