What type of formula do you use?

Should I buy some before baby comes home?
I will not be breastfeeding in any way

I signed up for samples from multiple companies before Baby was born just to have some on hand which was great cause we needed to supplement in the beginning! But my pediatrician also had tons to give too- I’d ask their recommendation too

I used Holle, (European formula) bc it has better ingredients and closer to breastmilk. But there’s no reason to buy formula beforehand unless you know you are going to formula feed from beginning and know which one your baby will like/not spit up. It’ll be a little trial and error if the one given at hospital doesn’t sit well.

We used Hipp combiotic (the Dutch version). I prefer using European formula because they tend to use safer, more pure ingredients. They’re all organic, but European organic standards are even more strict than US organic standards.

Are you planning on breastfeeding? If so, don't buy any formula. If you're planning on bottle feeding, then it would be a good idea to buy one or two boxes of formula before hand. But ask the hospital what they're using and buy the same. Otherwise you might have an upset baby.

I wouldn’t buy it ahead of time. The hospital gave us several trial sizes. It’s so expensive and babies can be picky so I would start with that, also our pediatrician gave us some more when we started having tummy trouble. And once we finally had some that worked we bought in big containers from amazon to save $

I tried a few kinds with this baby, nestle seems to do us best, It was best for my first born too

We used similac pro advance because of the extra DHA and it’s similarities to breast milk. Babies can be picky and if you get wic i suggest using what they give you
