Is this normal? Maternity 21

Question

So at 11 weeks I had my first maternity 21 test and it came back negative 
They told me at 16 weeks I would have another to finish up the test. 
Do I need to be worried? Is it normal for this to have two parts?

I had the Maternit21 test done at 12 weeks and only had one part

As in negative for down syndrome? Or negative for what? 
I had 2 parts also, it was the genetic test ( maternity 21 )at 13 weeks and then another genetic part 2 test at 16 weeks. I asked if something was wrong they said no the first test was for down syndrome and gender and the 2nd was for cleft palelt ( lip) not sure i spelt that right.
