What is the population of your town?

We have about 4,500 here. I love small towns. Everything is 5-15 minutes away. Doctor office, pharmacy, a few grocery stores, etc, it's so nice. Unfortunately though, I don't love the area I live in, it's not exactly the safest of towns. 
I'm hoping to move to Texas at least 5 years from now. If I don't touch my savings at all I'm hoping to have over $15k. About 80% of my family is scattered around Texas. I'm not a huge fan of the states heat, but I have live in FL and Louisiana, I'm sure I can handle Texas heat as well as long as my AC works well

I live in Washington DC so about 700,000 and I love it. I grew up in a small town and absolutely hated it. There wasn’t enough diversity, you had limited options for everything and had to drive everywhere. I don’t even own a car in the city and can walk to literally everything I need. 
In my hometown, if you wanted to go out to eat your options were either burgers, fried chicken, or Taco Bell. If you didn’t like your doctor you were screwed because the next closest was a county away. There was no privacy because everybody knew everybody and had nothing better to do but gossip. It was hell. I’m so happy I left.

My town is currently about 350-400 people (we are spread out and people don't care about the census so not 100% sure of actually population). Have lived in smaller and lived in huge metro areas. Like our little town though. We have a small grocery store, coffeeshop/cafe, few small restaurants, a library and a few parks. The community is really tight knit and there are lots of events (not this year but normally) and everyone tends to look out for each other. We have the normal rural issues but they seem to only really pop up during election season when peoples ugly sides come out. The favorite place I have ever lived had about 95 people and I wish my husband would be down with moving there but too rural for him lol. My least favorite had 1 million+.

I live in a state capital where the entire metro area is 25,000 people. That sounds like a lot but there is nothing around us. It’s about 45 minutes to the interstate and the nearest target is 3 hours away.
