Eloise nn Elsie?

So my husband and I have gone back and forth a ton on names for our third baby. I suggested Elsie tonight and he loved it! I was surprised because so far neither of us have felt passionately about a name and he was all about Elsie. 😂

The one thing is he wants to call her Elsie but it be short for a more formal name.

Obviously Elizabeth popped up but we had discussed the name Eloise previously and he suggested that. Is Elsie too weird of nn for Eloise? I’ve seen it suggested on another forum but I’m not sold. 😂
