I don’t think most men think it’s acceptable. I think most men don’t realize that we don’t and that’s due to their own egos and girls faking it for them/not saying anything for years and years. 
In my experience, once a guy finds out that I’m not finishing, he almost makes it a mission to help me finish. Wether if it’s for his own ego or for my pleasure 🤷🏻‍♀️ just tell them. Their fragile little egos will have to deal with it

Honestly, after I talked with my husband about how it takes me a bit more & longer to reach that point he made changes with me so we both enjoy sex. I won't get into the details, but he for real changed it up and we tried new things thanks to it. He also didn't revert back to "old ways" even years++ later. 
It just depends on the guy. Some just don't know, and need to be asked to try stuff. Others, yeah from what I've read on here don't care for their woman's pleasure. It's up to them (ladies) if they want to deal with that forever. Too many great people give the wrong person more time and energy than they deserve. Life ain't a Disney movie, no fairy will magically make it better.

I never had these problems. When I have sex, I can only orgasm through external stimulation. So my partner ejaculated first then he made sure I orgasm. Or vice versa. It is a conversation I had with him from the very beginning. I wouldn’t say most men but yes some men can be selfish. I haven’t had sex with most men to conclude it’s the majority of them.

The problem isn’t always just with him. People need to communicate with eachother more! Some women fake it and that doesn’t help, because how is he going to improve or do anything when you’re faking?
