So I am a 25 year old, type 1 diabetic and now 6 weeks and 1 day pregnant. EDD is July 11!

Saturday I was in the hospital as I had a mind numbing headache and eye pain and pressure. They asked if I wanted an ultrasound while I was in, just to ease my stress.. They said it is normal, but they could only see the yolk sac and no baby at this point.. is that actually normal?

I had a miscarriage years ago when I was very young and I’m just terrified that will happen again. This baby was definitely a surprise, but my boyfriend and I are very excited and happy to be parents.

Is it really normal to only see the yolk sac this early? -Saturday I was 5w6d

When should I go for another ultrasound where I may actually be able to see the baby & hear the heartbeat?!

Also my blood test came back with my hcg at 8023. Is that good? 😬 I will be having another blood test likely tomorrow, what should it be at then?
