Tips for unmediated labor?

I am an 18 year old FTM and I am 38 weeks, so baby could be here any day now. I really don’t want to get the epidural, what are some of your tips to get through labor unmedicated? I feel like everyone is pushing me to get an epidural because I “absolutely won’t be able to stand the pain” but I really want to do it unmedicated

You got this!!! Women have done it for centuries! I’m a FTM and want an unmedicated birth. I know I can do it and I know you can too! Breathe deeply through the pain and have some phrases and visuals prepared in your mind. 
Phrases like “I welcome the pain, it brings me closer to having my baby in my arms.”
When I think about giving birth I envision the pain (contractions) as ocean waves rushing in and then flowing out. And rushing back in even stronger, and flowing out. Also, may sound totally crazy but I envision a flower opening as I imagine the pain of dilation coursing through me. There are beautiful time-lapse videos of real flowers blooming on YouTube and I watch them and keep them in my mind as a visual for when I imagine birth. Also the book Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth has made me feel incredibly confident. 
Us mamas would die for our babies! What’s a little pain? 💗

Not being induced would really help. Pitocin really hurts.

You should have really taken birthing classes, you can start reading up on Bradley method, Hypnobirthing, request a room with a tub, if they have a wing in the hospital that is the natural birthing wing. The more knowledge and preparation you have the more likely you will be able to have an unmedicated birth

It’s really a mind thing. If your tolerable to pain you can definitely do it! Our babies are made for this. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Breathe in and out and remain relaxed and calm as you possibly can. Don’t think about it to much “it hurts, idk if I can do it” if you put those things in your head you probably will cave in

Girl you need to prepare and practice. Get your hands on the book The Bradley Method, it will teach you how to relax through contractions instead of tense up and fight them. Tensing up hurts. Being relaxed doesn’t.
