Gestational Diabetes

So I got a call today from my doctors office telling me I have Gestational Diabetes based off my recent blood test. I am currently almost 35 weeks and I’m honestly just an emotional wreck because it’s so close to my due date and this just happened to come up! I have absolutely no idea what this means besides the fact that I have to monitor closely. But I do want to know, does anything change as far as delivery or any other risks ? I had a natural delivery with my first and want the same with this one. Does anyone know what comes with gestational diabetes?
